I hope you guys all had the chance to check out XGS (Xbox 360 Gaming Showdown 2009) over the weekend! It was a great event, wasn’t it?
I was going to blog about it but I lost all my XGS photos!
Last weekend, I bought some new PC parts in honour of the launch of Windows 7.
After I got my new PC up and running on Sunday, I downloaded the XGS photos.
Two days later, one of my new hard disks failed, and then the motherboard failed and then the entire PC refused to boot up, and the photos are in there.
It’s going to take a while to get my PC running again and I don’t know if the photos will come back.
In the meantime, some updates on the X Team recruitment!
After looking carefully through all the applications, we narrowed our search down to four people we thought best suited for the role.
Last night, Ian and I took them out for dinner to get to know them.

They’re all awesome!
Clockwise from left:
- Jonathan is an established TV producer who has many ideas on how we can improve communications with Xbox 360 users.
- Hafizah is a digital animation student who writes really well and has been gaming since she was five (like me)!
- Me!
- Gene used to moderate Game Axis forums and has awesome video skills.
- Ian!
- Alvin runs a popular otaku blog which he updates four times a day and he is good in japanese!
I wish we could recruit all of them but we need to start small or it’ll get messy. Ian and I will make a decision once we find some time to discuss it.
In any case, they’re all fine gamers and I’m glad to know them!
And I promise to update this blog more frequently now.
=)

: Is e game easy to play? Itz not normal racing game?
: Sheylara, will you send an e-mail to notify of the decision for joining the X-team? Just curious.
: well, you can try at almost any local retailers. Personally, I would go to Funz Centre or Funan to get Forza Motorsport 3.

Cool. Just saw this in a friends post on Facebook and yes, the XBOX 360 gaming showdown was awesome, if not for the fact that I had been to the GCA ( Games Convention Asia) and was rather hoping that it would be like that, so a small let down for me. If anyone out there reads this just ignore this random post by a 13 year old on one of his internet trawls or reply with a post here.
It’s good to know that there’s an Ambassador in Singapore for XBOX.( is it just XBOX or does it include the XBOX 360?) So cheers! All the best! May the force be with you! Or God! Or your own God!
P.S. I still think the gaming showdown was better than the GCA because though the GCA had more games and A LOT more space, the gaming shown was more engaging with better games. Also, PLEASE do not sue me if I have infringed any copyrights or anything because I’m an adolscent who wants to enjoy his holidays annd two, I don’t know any lawyers. Have fun gaming!
oh and three, I don’t even know if i HAVE infringed anything. Okay, I’m good.
Though if this is by a friend who is pulling a prank on someone, okie dokie I’m fine with it. Though it is highly unlikely………………ok please ignore this post in particular.
Based on the descriptions, looks like Alvin is the best choice. Blogger, photographer, gamer & Otaku.
Hooray for XBOX ambassadors!
And wow. Hafizah does write really well. And it’s great to see another fellow gamer girl
[...] As for new collaborations and opportunities, this site will be having its third official sponsor, and I will be announcing it in a few days time once they are ready with the banner. On the local front, I had been trying to get myself recruited for the single opening on the X-Team (Xbox Singapore). [...]
